The Board of Education consists of seven individuals elected to four-year terms. Four seats on the Board will be filled at the April 7, 2009 election.

  • January 5, 2009 – Notice of Petition Filing for Nomination of Candidates

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that candidates for membership on the Board of Education of Waukegan Community School District #60, Lake County, Illinois, to be voted for at the election to be held on April 7, 2009, shall file their petitions for nomination, and other required documents, with the Secretary of said Board, or his designated representative, in the office of the Superintendent, no earlier than 8 a.m. on January 20, 2009, and no later than 5 p.m. on January 26, 2009.

    The District will be closed on January 19, 2009 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. legal holiday.

    In case of simultaneous filings at 8:00 a.m. on January 20, 2009, (or as specified in the School Code), a lottery to determine position on the ballot will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at 12:00 p.m., noon, in the Superintendent’s office. The candidate need not be present.
