Waukegan Public School District 60 offers a comprehensive benefits package to our employees. Some of the benefits include:
Notice to Enrollees of the Waukegan Public Schools Employee Benefit Plan - July 7, 2010 Medical Insurance: The Waukegan Public School District offers two health insurance plans. The district will pay the single premium for the employee for the plan that is chosen. Dependent coverage may be purchased at various costs. The PPO Plan (http://www.bcbsil.com) is a self-insured plan administered by Blue Cross. Please see the “Benefit Highlights” of the plan concerning coverage. The district also offers HMO Illinois (http://www.bcbsil.com) as an alternate to the PPO. Please refer to the ”Description of Coverage” for the managed care plan. Dental Coverage: Waukegan School District offers one dental PPO Plan. It is a self-insured plan administered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. For details, please visit the Dental Benefit Highlights sheet. The Cafeteria Plan’s open enrollment is in September and the benefit period is October 1 - September 30. Employee Assistance Program The District offers an EAP program through Perspectives LTD.
