WAUKEGAN, IL – At the Board of Education meeting held Tuesday, May 26, Superintendent Batiste announced the new start and end times for elementary and middle schools in the district for next year. In conjunction with the implementation of the Neighborhood Schools initiative for the 2009-2010 school year, changes have been made to the bell schedule for staff and students of Waukegan District 60 elementary and middle schools.

The revised schedule will be as follows:

Middle School: 7:25 a.m. staff start time; 7:45 a.m. student start time; 2:18 p.m. end time
Early Elementary: 8:15 a.m. staff start time; 8:35 a.m. student start time; 2:58 p.m. end time
Late Elementary: 8:55 a.m. staff start time; 9:15 a.m. student start time; 3:38 p.m. end time

In addition, the bell schedules for Kindergarten and Preschool are listed below:

The Kindergarten start times for the school year 2009-2010 are as follows:

Early Elementary Schools: A.M. session: 8:35 A.M. - 11:24 A.M.
P.M. session: 12:09 P.M. - 2:58 P.M.

Late Elementary Schools: A.M. session: 9:15 A.M. - 12:04 P.M.
P.M. session: 12:49 P.M. - 3:38 P.M.

Pre-School Times: A.M. session: 8:35 A.M. - 11:07 P.M.
