The Spelling Bee web tool is provided by The Free Dictionary. This activity is appropriate for secondary students. The words are from the dictionary and even the "easy" level is difficult!

To practice spelling words from the dictionary:

• Select your Difficulty Level and the definition of the word will appear under the Difficulty Level.
• Click the Play button to hear the word.
• Type the word you hear into the text box and click the Answer button.
• Yellow indicates the correct spelling. Pink indicates incorrect spelling. The correct spelling is displayed above the text box.
• Click New Word for another word to appear.
• Your score is posted in orange on the right side.
