District 60 Earns Budget Award

Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 has again been recognized with a Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) for the 2018-2019 budget year, from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
The Meritorious Budget Award is intended to promote and recognize best budget presentation practices in school districts. Participants submit their budget applications to ASBO’s panel of financial professionals for review, during which they are assessed for compliance with the MBA Criteria Checklist and other requirements. As a MBA awardee, District 60’s financial team demonstrated that the District has successfully met the necessary program requirements.
“Districts that apply to the MBA or Pathway programs recognize their community needs to be able to easily find and understand important district financial information,” said ASBO International’s Executive Director David Lewis. “Awarded budget documents are accurate, easy to read, and communicate the district’s goals and objectives.”
This marks the 5th year that District 60 has been recognized with the Meritorious Budget Award.
