Promotion Policy and FACE Strategic Plan Presentations Planned
Posted on 10/04/2019
Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 will be hosting a series of informational presentations this month designed to help parents better understand the district’s new Promotion Policy, as well as the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) department’s new three-year strategic plan.

Each session will be open to the community and provide separate, in-depth, overviews of the Promotion Policy and the FACE strategic plan, as well as how both will affect students and parents.

This year District 60 officially implemented a new promotion policy, which will affect how students advance from one year to the next in certain benchmark grades. During the information session, parents will learn more about the policy, what supports are being made available to families, and how parents can easily track their children’s progress.

The FACE Plan portion of the meeting is a great opportunity for parents to learn about long term plans, as well as the various resources and opportunities that are  available to families.

Sessions will be held on the following dates:

Tuesday, October 8 - 4:30 p.m. at Waukegan City Hall
Tuesday, October 8  - 6 p.m. at Oakdale Elementary School
Thursday, October 10 - 6:15 p.m. at Carman-Buckner Elementary School
Wednesday, October 16 - 11 a.m. at the Waukegan Public Library

Anyone with questions can reach out to Ms. Carolina Fabian at [email protected] or 224-303-1036.
