In conformity with Illinois School Code section 105 ILCS 5/10-10, the Board of Education of Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 hereby gives notice that the application for persons desiring to be considered for appointment by the Board to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of School Board Member Vice President, Mr. Michael Rodriguez on January 14, 2020, may be secured from the Board of Education office at Lincoln Center, 1201 N. Sheridan Road. The person selected will serve until the next regular school election scheduled for April 6, 2021, at which time a candidate will be elected to fill a four-year term.

 

Qualifications:

A candidate for the position must:

a) be a citizen of the United States;

b) be of the age of 18 years or over;

c) be a resident of the State of Illinois and of the Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 for at least one year; and

d) shall be a registered voter, as provided by the general election law.

 

The completed application must be addressed to Board President Mr. Brandon Ewing at the Office of the Superintendent of Waukegan Public Schools, 1201 N. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, and must be received in that office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, or postmarked no later than Tuesday, January 28. The Board will notify the applicant of the procedure to be followed for interview.
