Special Presentations
Representatives from the Waukegan Historical Society gave a presentation regarding the potential historical marker recognizing the desegregation at Whittier Elementary School.

Action Items
-The Board of education voted to approve the purchase of Art of Education University Art Curriculum Resource Proposal in the amount of $93,456. The proposed web-based curriculum resource and professional development packs will be utilized by all art teachers across the district from Kindergarten through High School.  It is a resource that is updated monthly by AOEU with both curriculum collections and professional development opportunity packs. 

Personnel
The Board of Education voted to approve the appointments and retirement extensions of nine employees. 
The Board of Education voted to uphold the Superintendent's decision and deny the appeals of Dr. Charmaine Hillary in Complaint No. 2020-E-27.

Holidays
The Board of Education voted to approve and adopt the proposed Resolution establishing Juneteenth as a special school holiday. 
The Board of Education voted to approve and adopt a Resolution that renames Columbus Day as Indigenous Peoples and Immigrants Day.
