Dear WHS Parents,
In response to COVID-19 capacity limits, there will be a change in how students who normally ride PACE bus transportation will be picked up for school.
For the remainder of this year, District 60’s contracted bus company, Illinois Central, will be supplementing the three main Waukegan High School student PACE bus routes with additional yellow buses for students participating in in-person learning.
Three Illinois Central buses will run Routes 569 and 572, which serve the Brookside Campus, as well as Route 562, which serves the Washington Campus. The nine additional Illinois Central buses will follow the normal PACE schedule, and students will picked up and dropped off at PACE stops. A full schedule for all three routes can be found here.
To board the bus, students will need to show their student IDs, and will be required to follow capacity and safety regulations while being transported to and from school. For a look at our District’s bus safety regulations, you can watch a video in English or Spanish.
PACE will continue to operate these routes as well, however, students will have to pay the student fair cost, as no PACE bus passes are being provided by the District at this time.

En respuesta a los límites de capacidad de COVID-19, habrá un cambio en la forma en que los estudiantes que normalmente viajan en el transporte de autobús PACE serán recogidos para la escuela.
Durante el resto de este año, la compañía de autobuses contratada por el Distrito 60, Illinois Central, complementará las tres rutas principales de autobuses PACE para estudiantes de la Escuela Secundaria Waukegan con autobuses amarillos adicionales para los estudiantes que participan en el aprendizaje en persona.
Tres autobuses de Illinois Central circularán por las Rutas 569 y 572, que sirven al plantel de Brookside, así como a la Ruta 562, que sirve al plantel Washington.
