Waukegan Community Unit School District # 60 is honoring its 2021 retirees this week. Sixty employees with combined service more than 1,200 years, are retiring this year.
In absence of the traditional retirement dinner, all retirees are presented with special gifts thanking them for their service to Waukegan Public Schools and its students.
On June 24 retiring employees will be recognized with a special video, as well. Employees who have opted to be a part of the retirement video will be honored with special messages from their colleagues recognizing their years in Waukegan Schools. The video will premiere at 5 p.m. on the District’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
“These amazing men and women have dedicated a lifetime to improving the lives of the children and Waukegan, and they will all be dearly missed. Unfortunately we were not able to celebrate these employees as we traditionally would, but I am grateful that we were able to honor their contributions in a unique way,” said Superintendent Theresa Plascencia.
A total of 60 employees, with a combined 1222 years of service in Waukegan Public Schools, have announced their retirement this year. Below is a list of all District 60 employees scheduled to retire, along with their years of service in Waukegan.
