Waukegan Public School’s D60 Dads of Great Students (D.O.G.S) will host its final meeting of the school year this Thursday, May 12. 

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at The People's Choice Family Fun Center, 2650 Belvidere Rd.

Children are welcome at the meeting, and free pizza and refreshments will be served to those in attendance.

D.O.G.S is a program that invites all Waukegan father figures to take a more active role in their child’s education. The program is open to all father figures with children enrolled in a District 60 school, who wish to create a more positive environment for all students. 

As part of the organization, father figures will meet regularly to discuss and engage in volunteer opportunities within individual buildings, as well as work with building administration to enhance key life skills and model healthy behaviors that can improve relationships in their child(ren)’s lives.
