Waukegan High School will host the first in a series of seminars designed to guide students through each phase of the college application process as part of the schools’ College Prep Series.
Session 1 of this three-part series will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 17 in the Waukegan High School-Washington Campus library. During this initial session, students will receive a hands-on walkthrough of how to apply for government financial aid using the FAFSA application. The dates and times of the remaining two sessions can be found below.
Session 2: Completing the Common Application: 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 in the WHS-Washington Campus Library
Session 3: Completing your Essays: 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 15 in the WHS-Washington Campus Library
Attending students should bring their Chromebooks, and parents and/or guardians are asked to accompany their children in order to learn how to complete the parent portion of the FAFSA application. Students will be sent home with information for parents/guardians if they are unable to attend.
