The Board of Education recognized the Jr. Bulldogs football program for its recent championship. 


Action Items

The Board of Education voted to ratify the Administration's payment of the renewal of the contract with the Suburban School Cooperative Insurance Program (SSCIP) for the District's general liability, property, excess property, school board liability, and boiler and machinery insurance for calendar year 2023 at a rate not to exceed $890,515. Currently the Board of Education has its general liability, excess general liability, property, excess property, school board liability and boiler and machinery insurance through the Suburban Schools Cooperative Insurance Program (SSCIP). This pool is comprised of a group of suburban school entities which can purchase larger amounts of insurance at a lower price with lower deductibles.

The Board of Education voted to grant retroactive approval of the SCCIP Cyber Program Premium for Plan Year 2023 for an amount not to exceed $121,166 and that retroactive approval is granted for Mr. Brian Luosa signing the agreement as required by SSCIP.

The Board of Education voted to adopt the Resolution to abate the levy for Tax Year 2022 for Principal and Interest on the $7,000,000 Taxable General Obligation Bonds (Alternative Revenue Source) Series 2016.



Personnel Items

The Board of Education voted to approve Nicole Stroup of the Lake County ROE to attend the TCEA Convention to support the work of the EIR Grant. The estimated cost is $2,500, including registration, travel, lodging and meals per diem. 

The Board of Education voted to approve the appointments, resignations and retirements of 26 employees. 

The Board of Education voted to approve the engagement agreement with Hinshaw & Culbertson as presented by the General Counsel. This engagement is for the purpose of providing the District with legal advice and counsel and representation regarding a programmatic matter.  The estimated cost associated with this engagement is $50,000.
