We are excitedly preparing for the start of the 2024-2025 school year later this month. We can not wait to see you and your little ones for a year full of fun and learning. In advance of the first day of school, we want to share with you all some important schedule modifications for preschool students. 

A full preschool calendar with important events can be found in English and Spanish. Please note some of these important dates, as they may differ slightly from our K-12 students. 
- First and foremost, the first day of school for all preschool students will be Wednesday, August 14. EPIC students will not attend school on August 12 or August 13. 

- During district-wide Professional Learning Days (late start/ early release days), preschool students will follow their normal schedules. 
- EPIC staff will follow a different professional learning schedule. Approximately once a month EPIC preschool will have asynchronous learning days, meaning that students will work independently at home, and not be in attendance. 

We understand that the slight variation from the normal district calendar will require parents to make adjustments to their schedules, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Nos estamos preparando con mucho entusiasmo para el comienzo del año escolar 2024-2025 a finales de este mes. No podemos esperar a verlos a ustedes y a sus pequeños para un año lleno de diversión y aprendizaje. Antes del primer día de clases, queremos compartir con todos ustedes algunas modificaciones importantes en el horario para los estudiantes de preescolar. 

Un calendario completo de preescolar con eventos importantes se puede encontrar en Inglés y en Español. Por favor, tenga en cuenta algunas de estas fechas importantes, ya que pueden ser un poco diferentes de nuestros estudiantes K-12. 
- En primer lugar, el primer día de clases para todos los estudiantes de preescolar será el miércoles, 14 de agosto. Los estudiantes de EPIC no asistirán a la escuela el 12 de agosto ni el 13 de agosto. 
- Durante los Días de Aprendizaje Profesional para todo el distrito (días de inicio tardío/días de salida temprana), los estudiantes de preescolar seguirán sus horarios normales. 
- El personal de EPIC seguirá un horario de aprendizaje profesional diferente. Aproximadamente una vez al mes el preescolar EPIC tendrá días de aprendizaje asíncrono, lo que significa que los estudiantes trabajarán independientemente en casa, y no asistirán. 

Entendemos que esta pequeña variación del calendario normal del distrito requerirá que los padres hagan ajustes en sus horarios, y agradecemos la comprensión de todos.
