Waukegan Community Unit School District #60’s annual Elementary Art Show is now open at the Waukegan Public Library and will run through April 30.
This year’s exhibit features more than 250 works of art created by students from all 15 WPS elementary schools. The collection includes pencil drawings, watercolor paintings, marker illustrations, 3D models, sculptures, found object pieces, and more. The selected artwork offers a snapshot of the creativity and talent developed in our elementary art classes throughout the school year.
To celebrate the student artists, receptions will be held on Monday, April 28, and Tuesday, April 29, at the Waukegan Public Library. Each evening will feature ceremonies at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Families should have received invitations from their schools indicating their assigned date and time.
The District is proud to partner annually with the Waukegan Public Library to host this inspiring showcase of student creativity.
