Our District's Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee (PTAC) will host its first meeting of the school year this Thursday, October 10 at 4 p.m. in the Bradbury room of the Waukegan Public Library, 128 N County Street. The meeting can also be joined remotely on Zoom. PTAC  works throughout the school year to address the areas of behavior and discipline to ensure fair and equitable support for all Waukegan Public Schools’ students and their families. 

In cooperation with various district offices, parents, and community members, the PTAC is responsible for the review and implementation of procedures specific to behavior and discipline. Areas of focus in 2024/2025 include: Bullying, Equity and Inclusion, PBIS/MTSS, Review Board Policy on Discipline, and Review Discipline Portion of the Student Support Handbook.

Parents and guardians are invited to join the PTAC efforts by attending meetings during the school year. Please check the PTAC webpage for details related to meeting dates, times, and locations.

El Comité Asesor de Padres y Maestros (PTAC por sus siglas en inglés) de nuestro Distrito tendrá su primera reunión del año escolar este jueves, 10 de octubre en el salón Bradbury de la Biblioteca Pública de Waukegan, 128 N County Street. También puede unirse a la reunión remotamente a través de Zoom. PTAC trabaja a lo largo del año escolar para abordar las áreas de comportamiento y disciplina para asegurar un apoyo justo y equitativo para todos los estudiantes de las Escuelas Públicas de Waukegan y sus familias.

En colaboración con varias oficinas del distrito, padres y miembros de la comunidad, el PTAC es responsable de la revisión e implementación de procedimientos específicos de comportamiento y disciplina. Las áreas de enfoque en 2024/2025 incluyen:
Acoso Escolar, Equidad e Inclusión, PBIS/MTSS, Revisar la Política Disciplinaria de la Mesa Directiva, Revisar la Sección de Disciplina del Manual de Apoyo al Estudiante
