Tune in for the first Parent University of September, where District 60’s Family and Community Engagement Department will spotlight the important topic of student attendance “Attendance Matters”, will premiere on the District's YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on September 4. 

This session, which will be led by Director of Student Outreach, Oscar Dupuy will cover the importance of regular attendance and negative impact of chronic absenteeism, how to correctly report student absences, as well as what is what kind of absences are considered excusable and which are not.

Families can also check out all past sessions on our Parent University YouTube playlist.

Parents will have the opportunity to earn volunteer credit toward student registration fees by watching the session and successfully completing the assessment linked in the video description.

Universidad para Padres 4 de Septiembre - La Asistencia es Importante

Sintonice la primera Universidad para Padres de septiembre, donde el Departamento de Participación Familiar y Comunitaria del Distrito 60 destacará el importante tema de la asistencia estudiantil. "La Asistencia es Importante", se estrenará en el canal de YouTube del Distrito a las 6.p.m. el 4 de septiembre. 

Esta sesión, que estará dirigida por el Director de Atención Estudiantil, Oscar Dupuy, cubrirá la importancia de la asistencia regular y el impacto negativo del ausentismo crónico, cómo informar correctamente las ausencias de los estudiantes, así como qué tipo de ausencias se consideran justificadas y cuáles no.

Los padres tendrán la oportunidad de obtener créditos de voluntariado para las cuotas de inscripción de los estudiantes al ver la sesión y completar con éxito la evaluación vinculada en la descripción del video.
