Five Waukegan High School student musicians recently performed in the Illinois Music Education Association District 7 Music Festivals.

Students submitted video auditions to play in the prestigious concert alongside several other northeastern Illinois students earlier this year. The five WHS students who were selected to play in the festivals include:

Jose Pulido-Martinez: Trombone, Senior Band

Venn Neo Domdom: Bass, Senior Chorus

Paula Sosa: Cello, Senior Orchestra

Eduardo Villalobos: Jazz Guitar, Senior Jazz Band III

Adrian Rodriguez: Jazz Drum Set, Senior Jazz Band IV

Jose, Neo, and Paula performed at the Music Festival on November 9 at Glenbrook South High School. Eduardo and Adrian performed at the District 7 Jazz Festival on November 16 at Niles North High School.
