Graduation and promotion events for Waukegan High School seniors and Waukegan 8th graders are just a month away. Parents of seniors and 8th graders will receive information regarding planned graduation and promotion events for their child. Please see below for further information. 

Waukegan High School

Waukegan High School Class of 2026 graduation will occur on Friday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Weiss Field. Gates at Weiss Field will open at 4 p.m. Each graduate will be given four tickets for the ceremony. No spectators will be admitted without a ticket. Families are asked to please arrive together if possible, as saving seats for others will not be permitted.

Middle School

Eighth-grade promotion events will be hosted over two days, on May 20 and May 21. Promotion events for all five Waukegan middle schools will be held in the Genesee Theatre, 203 N Genesee St. Families should contact their child’s school for information on tickets.

On Wednesday, May 20, students from the following schools will participate in promotion exercises. 

- Benny - 10 a.m.

- Smith - 12 p.m.

- Juarez - 2 p.m.

On Thursday, May 21, students from the following schools will participate in promotion exercises.

- Lewis - 10 a.m.

- Abbott - 12 p.m.
