Waukegan Public Schools' Teaching and Learning Department will host two additional community meetings to discuss potential changes to the District’s grading policy.
Last spring, minor changes were made to the District's grading policy. However, decisions on grading scales were postponed to allow for additional feedback from parents, staff, students, and other stakeholders. Currently, the minimum numerical grade a student can receive is zero (0).
During these upcoming meetings, staff will present the rationale and research behind potential changes and provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share their opinions.
Remaining meeting dates and times:
- Wednesday, October 2, at 6 p.m. at Waukegan High School - Washington Campus in Room 201. Enter through Door 28 (Dog Pound Doors on Jackson Street)
- Thursday, October 10, at 6 p.m. - Virtual via Zoom using this link
Spanish interpretation will be available at meetings.
