Waukegan Public Schools is beginning the transition of several departments to the new Waukegan Educational Service Center, located at 214 Washington Street in downtown Waukegan. This modern, centralized facility will improve accessibility and operational efficiency, helping us better serve students, families, and staff.
The Waukegan Educational Service Center is located at the northwest corner of Washington and Genesee Streets. Free on-site visitor parking is available in our parking lot.
Beginning the week of June 30, the first phase of moves will start, with several Student Support Services functions relocating from the Welcome Center to the first floor of the new building. These services include K-8 student registration, in-district transfers, and transcript pick-ups. New high school registration will continue to take place at the high school buildings. Parents needing registration services can schedule an appointment online. Student Support Services can be reached at 224-303-3603.
Throughout July, additional departments will gradually move from our current Lincoln Center headquarters to the new location. The departments moving include many of our forward-facing departments that interact most with parents and staff, including Student Outreach, Family and Community Engagement, Child Nutrition & Transportation, Human Resources, Payroll, and more. All department moves will be completed by the end of summer. Parents and staff should stay tuned for updates on future transitions.
Walk-ins are welcome for most departments once moves are complete, though appointments are recommended for registration and transcript requests to reduce wait times. Appointments for various services can be booked here.
Please note, not all current Lincoln Center offices will be moving. Finance, Information Technology, and Diverse Learners will largely remain at our Sheridan Road location. If you’re unsure whether a department has moved, please call the main line at 224-303-1000 or check the District website for the latest updates. Additionally, during this transition, it may take some time for changes of address to be reflected on various websites and search engines.
During this time, the Lincoln Center, Wraparound Center, and Educational Service Center will maintain normal operating hours. Department phone numbers, including the district’s main line at 224-303-1000, will remain unchanged throughout the process.

Las Oficinas del Distrito Comienzan a Mudarse a una Nueva Ubicación en el Centro de la Ciudad
