Graduation and promotion events for Waukegan High School seniors and Waukegan 8th graders are fast approaching. Parents of seniors and 8th graders should have received information regarding planned graduation and promotion events for their child. Please see below for further information. 

Waukegan High School

Waukegan High School graduation will occur on May 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Weiss Field. 

Gates at Weiss Field will open at 4 p.m. Each graduate will be given four tickets for the ceremony. Seating arrangements will be the same as last year, with graduates sitting together closer to the stage, and guests seated behind them on the field, or in the stands. No spectators will be admitted without a ticket. Families are asked to please arrive together if possible, as the saving of seats for others will not be permitted.

Middle School

Eighth-grade promotion events will be hosted over two days, on May 21 and May 22. Promotion events for all five Waukegan middle schools will be held in the Genesee Theatre, 203 N Genesee St. Families should contact their child’s school for information on tickets.

On Wednesday, May 21, students from the following schools will participate in promotion exercises.  - Smith - 10 a.m. - Lewis - 12 p.m. - Benny - 2 p.m.

On Tuesday, May 22, students from the following schools will participate in promotion exercises. - Abbott - 10 a.m. - Juarez - 12 p.m.
