District 60 families, staff, and students still have time to share their feedback through the 2025–2026 statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey, but the survey window will close on March 13.
Teachers, students, and parents are encouraged to complete the research-based survey, which takes approximately 25 minutes. Your feedback helps schools identify strengths, address areas for growth, and make informed decisions to better support student success. The survey also provides valuable data that helps the district and state better understand and support our school communities.
Parents can complete the survey using a computer or smartphone by accessing the survey here.
The Illinois 5Essentials Survey provides schools with an individualized report measuring five key areas critical to school success:
-Effective Leaders
-Collaborative Teachers
-Involved Families
-Supportive Environment
-Ambitious Instruction
Research from the University of Chicago shows that schools strong in at least three of the 5Essentials are more likely to see meaningful gains in student reading and math. Past survey reports can be accessed on the 5Essentials website by searching for your school or district.
