Families in Waukegan School District 60 have an exciting opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year! Incoming preschool and kindergarten students can enter the lottery for our Two-Way Dual Language program.

Interested families are encouraged to attend our next informational meeting from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25 at the Welcome Center, 742 W. Greenwood Avenue. 

The Two-Way Dual Language program brings together native English and Spanish speakers in the same classroom, providing instruction in both languages. This approach helps students develop strong literacy and academic skills in both English and Spanish while fostering cultural appreciation and understanding.

¡Las familias del Distrito Escolar 60 de Waukegan tienen una oportunidad emocionante para el año escolar 2025-2026! Los estudiantes de preescolar y kínder que ingresan pueden participar en la lotería para nuestro programa de lenguaje dual bidireccional. 

Se anima a las familias interesadas a asistir a nuestra próxima reunión informativa de 5 p.m. a 6 p.m. el martes, 25 de febrero en el Centro de Bienvenida, 742 W. Greenwood Avenue.

El programa de Lenguaje Dual Bidireccional reúne a hablantes nativos de inglés y español en el mismo salón, brindando instrucción en ambos idiomas. Este enfoque ayuda a los estudiantes a desarrollar habilidades académicas y de alfabetización tanto en inglés como en español, al mismo tiempo que fomenta la apreciación y comprensión cultural.
