The Waukegan Public Schools Back-to-School Resource Fair returns on Saturday, July 25, and this year will be our largest event yet!
Join us from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at our new location, McCall Elementary School and Bevier Park, for free backpacks and school supplies, community resources, food trucks, a petting zoo, kids activities, haircuts, and more.

The FREE community picnic begins at 11 a.m. on the lawn of Lincoln Center, followed by the Waukegan Park District's 2026 American Independence Parade stepping off at 12 p.m.

Today, District 60 honors Juneteenth and recognizes its significance in our nation's history, while celebrating the ongoing pursuit of freedom and opportunity for all.

Join the Waukegan Performing Arts Company (Wauk-PAC) as more than 50 District 60 students from eight elementary schools and five middle schools bring this beloved musical to life.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the diversity that makes Waukegan stronger, and we are proud to support a school community where everyone feels valued, respected, and welcomed.
Free Summer Meals!
All Waukegan children ages 3 to 18 can receive free breakfast and lunch this summer, whether or not they are enrolled in summer school. Children can simply visit one of our meal sites during public meal hours to receive meals at no cost.
The following schools will serve as summer meal program sites this year: Clearview Elementary, Glen Flora Elementary, Washington Elementary, Smith Middle School, Abbott Middle School, and WHS-Brookside.
