Waukegan Public Library
The Waukegan Public Library's mission is to provide the path to empower and support learning. This is done through several free resources to our community beyond books such as classes, programs, databases, technology and homework help. For more information, you may visit their website for a calendar of events and list of programs that you may participate in. Information is also sent monthly with elementary school students.
Recently the library has also partnered with the District to provide free field trips through their Bus to Us program for all first-grade students. They will also sponsor the Ray Bradbury Storytelling festival for all third-grade students. Our library continuously works to align their programs to District goals to support Waukegan Public School Students.
Waukegan Park District
The Waukegan Park District provides many before and after school programs through B.A.S.E. to assist parents with childcare. On District days off they provide field trips through there W.H.O. program. Moreover, Waukegan students are able to participate in several classes from athletics to music. Families are also invited to attend several events, most of which are free. For more information on registration or events please click on the link above.
Through the Park District's Historical Museum, each fourth grader has the opportunity to attend a free field trip to the museum to learn more about the community they live in.
Waukegan Park District Foundation
The Park District Foundation has committed to sponsoring a field trip for all second grade to the Field House. During this trip students receive a free swim lesson and bathing suit should they need one.

Waukegan to College (W2C)
The mission of W2C is to create brighter futures for students, families and the community by helping students prepare to enroll in and graduate from college. They help students achieve academic success by serving as a student's academic counselor/advisor. Students and their parent meet with the assigned counselor/advisor to keep track with academic performance based on a college readiness curriculum.
W2C begins providing services to students in 5th grade. They are currently accepting applications. Click on their link for more information.
United Way of Lake County
The United Way provides volunteers and programs throughout our District. The Reading Success program currently serves 8 elementary schools by providing trained tutors in classrooms to work with small groups. Other programs include Success by Six; a program that promotes early childhood literacy, and Stay in School; a program helps students overcome barriers to graduation.

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake County
The B&GC of Lake County partners directly with Oakdale Elementary to provide afterschool care that includes homework help through "Power Hour." They also host a summer program open to all elementary students, which includes snacks, field trips, and of course, academic fun through Brain Games.

The Lake County Workforce Development Board
The mission and vision of the Lake County Workforce Development Board is to ensure a workforce ready for today and prepared for tomorrow and to become the recognized leader of an exemplary Lake County workforce development system that produces a highly skilled workforce and significantly contributes to the region's economic vitality and quality of life.
The Lake County Workforce Development Board is a business-led policy and oversight board for workforce development programs and services in Lake County. They have continuously partnered with our High School to provide support, training, and opportunities for our students to prepare them for careers as they graduate.

Bravo
Waukegan
Bravo
Waukegan is an integral partner in supporting music education in the
Waukegan public schools. Bravo brings a variety of resources to
Waukegan’s music students and their teachers, impacting 7,000 students
through its programs each year. Bravo’s many programs provide
instruments; music instruction after school and in the summer; as well
as performance and teacher professional development opportunities. Bravo
also sponsors five mariachi after-school bands and the annual Waukegan
Music Festival at the Genesee Theatre, where more than 1,000 middle
school band, orchestra and choir students perform. For more information,

Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Garden opened more than 45 years ago as a beautiful place to visit, and it has matured into one of the world's great living museums and conservation science centers. Every year, more than one million people visit the Garden's 27 gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline.
The garden partners to provide a special Bud Burst program to 4th-6th grade as well as free field trip opportunities to our 5th grade students. They have also sponsored free family field trips providing free parking to their gardens.
Dental Hygiene Clinic of the College of Lake County
Located in CLC's Lakeshore campus, the Dental Hygiene Clinic offers low cost dental hygiene services to our community. Call Joni Gruber at (847) 543-2172 for an appointment. Appointments are available Mondays to Fridays, 8 - 11:30 a.m. and 1 - 4:30 p.m.
