Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC)
Article 14c of the Illinois School Code requires that each school district implementing a state-mandated Transitional Bilingual Education(TBE) Program establish a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) consisting of parents of ELs enrolled in the district’s program.  Parents enrolled in the district's TPI (Transitional Program of Instructions) and Dual Language programs are encouraged to participate in the BPAC meetings since issues regarding the education of all English Learners (ELs) are discussed and decided at these meetings.
