Lyon Magnet Elementary School is now accepting applications from parents wishing to enroll their children in the school for the fall of 2025 The online application can be accessed here. The deadline to complete the application is April 26, 2025.

Once completed, parents can drop off applications at Lyon Magnet School, 800 S. Elmwood Avenue,  or email Principal, Dr. Anne Zahn at [email protected]. Lyon currently has openings for students entering kindergarten, with limited openings for students entering grades 1-5. Students should already be registered to attend Waukegan Public Schools prior to completing an application for Lyon. 

Lyon has a neighborhood school program but also offers seats through an application process to students across District 60 boundaries. The school specializes in STEM, with students having an opportunity to engage in the engineering and design process each quarter during science and they also have a weekly STEM class. There are also increased opportunities for music, as well as programs through STARS.
